Whether you're navigating the lively Malecon 2000 (the city's stunning riverside promenade) or strolling through the colorful streets of Las Penas, you'll quickly notice how approachable and pleasant the people of Guayaquil are.
In addition to their hospitality, taxi drivers in Guayaquil stand out for their honesty and professionalism. Unlike some other cities where visitors may worry about being overcharged or scammed, Guayaquil's taxi drivers are known for their fair pricing. You＊ll rarely have to haggle, and most rides are straightforward with transparent fares. The ease of getting around in the city without feeling taken advantage of is a refreshing change, making Guayaquil a more relaxed place for tourists to explore. From the airport to our Airbnb we were charged $8 USD; more than reasonable. The airport was about 15 minutes away from our penthouse.
